Chargers Dream is Broken Again

This is just an experiment to see if anyone will stumble on to my blog for sports related posts. This is a piece from my blog on foxsports.com.

Well, that game sucked. As a Chargers fan, I went into this week's game with the Steelers with high hopes that the Chargers defense had improved and perhaps Big Ben was seeing three receivers where their was only one. After the first drive of the game, I thought I may be right! Then, the rest of the game happened.
Too much Steelers defense for the Bolts. No game changing bad calls by the refs. No bone head coaching decisions that gave Chargers fans a scapegoat. No individual player who cost the Bolts the game. It was simply too much Steelers D and a solid Steelers offense, not to mention a punt return for a touchdown to top it off.
Overall, this was a terrible weekend for me and my picks. I missed every stinking pick!!! Not three of four, every stinking pick! I may have to change my weekly post to My One Cent instead of My Two Cents.
Anyway, I'm going to wrap this Chargers season up by saying congratulations to the Steelers and good luck next week. Also, congratulations to B@O, thesupposedbuckles, and any other Steelers fan on Foxsports.com.
Good luck to anyone who still has a dog in the race!

Thank You

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have donated to Ren during this difficult time. I also want to thank anyone who read this post and shared it with others. We have had over 300 hits which is pretty impressive considering the only publicity it recieved was on the Foxsports.com blog site.

I thank you! Ren thanks you! Most of all, if you are still interested in giving, please go to the previous post and give what you can.

Thank you and God bless.

YeeMum's Invisible Friends

Hello Fellow Bloggers,

If you are reading this, you have learned of the death of YeeMum's (Ren) husband. The two of them battled his illness, End Stage Liver Failure, for five long years and endured six other passings of family and friends along the way.

If you are interested in reading the story behind her husbands death and the five year struggle that they shared, click here.

Right now, Ren and her kids are dealing with the loss of her husband, on Christmas day, and the effects of a blizzard that knocked out their water and other important services.

Ren shared with me the fact that she is not receiving the support from her family and friends that she had hoped for in this time of need. She doesn't have the money for the funeral either. Fortunatley, the funeral director has agreed to accept payments, but they will not be easy to make.

As someone who has lost a spouse, I can tell you that dealing with the expenses and planning of the funeral is most difficult. There are many details that need to be taken care of that are even more difficult alone.

What I am asking from you is a donation of money so that Ren is relieved from the financial pressure that is mounting right now. She has enough to worry about without having to wonder where the money is coming from.

We often talk on our blogs and make comments about how we are family. Let's show everyone that we mean what we say and step up to the plate. If you can afford to help, please do. If not, any help would be appreciated.

Ren lives in Oregon, in case any of you are within visiting distance. She has also expressed the need for adult contact so that she can vent her fears and frustrations.

Thank you for any help you can give. Just the thought that there are people out there willing to help will make a difference. Thank you and God bless.

Your invisible friend, Will
